Our
Caretaker, Mr. Tom Gordon

On 17th June we marked our 150th year with a series of events including a balloon release, an exhibition and the unveiling of a commemorative mosaic.

Having recently had our Ofsted inspection we were very pleased to be judged "good" with "outstanding features". Amongst other things we were praised for our excellent links with parents and carers and our range of extra-curricular clubs.
As part of the 150 celebrations of the school a church service was held on Sunday 13th February at St. Michael's Church. It was well attended by current and past pupils and parents as well as four head teachers. See the press release for more information.
The school has been presented with a cheque for £2000 by our MP David Heathcoat-Amory. This was for coming 3rd in the Cash for Schools Competition. Thank you to everyone who collected tokens for us. We’re looking forward to spending the money on library books, book boxes and bean bags.
Brent Knoll School has been chosen as a finalist in a competition to win 'Cash for Schools'. It is being run by the Western Daily Press and we need to collect tokens which are printed daily in the paper for the next two weeks (starts 21 November and ends on 4th December). If you, or anyone you know reads this paper, could you please save the tokens for us!!! They can be taken to school, Brent Knoll post office, posted direct to the competition organisers, or to Central Radio Services, in Burnham High Street.
There are big prizes on offer (£8000 first prize, £5000 second prize etc) for the schools that collect the most tokens averaged by the number of pupils on role. We need to spread the word and so please feel free to tell anyone you think may be able to help. There are only 12 finalists and seven of the twelve schools will win some money, so we are in with a real chance of a windfall!

On Wednesday 10th June our new Outdoor Play Area was officially opened by Mr J. Dickson who was very involved in the early stages of development. All the guests had a chance to admire the new area as well as watch a display of country dancing by the children. Tea and cakes were then served on the front lawn.
In May 2009 the British NDP Acrobatic Finals took place at Fenton Manor, Stoke On Trent. We would like to congratulate Katie and her partner who won gold in the Mixed Pairs. Well done!

MP David Heathcoat-Amory officially opened our new £24,000 solar panel power project on Friday (February 13th).
