The following teaching assistants work with Class 2 on different afternoons:

The children thoroughly enjoyed hunting for minibeasts whilst visiting a local woodland.

At the end of the year the whole school worked together to make kites. We took our kites to the park to try them out and they all flew!

Super Heroes

Having completed their mission to Save the World, Class 2 thoroughly enjoyed celebrating in their superhero costumes.

Walk To School Day

We organised and took part in a walk to school day to encourage people to leave their cars at home.

We wrote and performed our own play on a fairytale theme to celebrate the Royal Wedding.	During the Summer we visited Weston-super-Mare museum to learn more about seaside holidays in the past.

As part of our work in Design and Technology we visited our local park to look at how the playground structures are designed and built.	We then made our own playground structures.

Carymoor Environmental Trust came into school to lead a session on Waste and Recycling and we learnt how to make recycled paper.
Our favourite part of our School Summer Sports Day was the welly throwing challenge.
Our Year Two Gardening Club love taking care of the vegetables we grow.
Gardening Club also visited a local kitchen garden to learn more about growing fruit and vegetables.
